The Day Gogo Went to Vote

Thembi, a young girl living in Soweto, tells the triumphant story of the 1994 elections in South Africa--the first time that country held a democratic election. Thembi's great-grandmother, Gogo, is 100 years old, and with the end of apartheid she has finally been given the right to vote--and she is determined to do so.
